A breast cancer diagnosis changes life in an instant. Decisions, uncertainty, and countless questions shape this time – often far beyond the end of medical treatment.
I know this from my own experience. My diagnosis came during a sabbatical with my family. What was meant to be a break from everyday life turned into an intense period of medical treatment and a deep personal confrontation with my health.
As a health journalist, I am used to researching and making sense of complex information. During this time, I began to do the same for myself – particularly in the areas of nutrition and stress regulation.
Over time, I realised that knowledge alone is not enough. It was through personal experience, therapeutic support, and evidence-based approaches to stress regulation – particularly those used in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) – that I began to understand what truly helps in everyday life.
What became clear to me is this: The real challenge often begins after treatment – when life is supposed to continue, but no longer feels the same.
Today, I support women with breast cancer, especially after treatment, in finding their way back into everyday life.
The time after breast cancer treatment can be particularly challenging. Medical care may be completed, yet many women feel uncertain, unstable, or disconnected from their bodies.
This is where my work begins.
I support women in rebuilding stability in their daily lives and developing trust in their bodies. In my work, I focus on three key elements: nutrition tailored to the individual, which also takes inflammatory processes in the body into account, a conscious approach to managing energy, and practical strategies to regulate stress and inner tension.
The focus is not on perfection, but on practical steps that work in real life – individually, sustainably, and without pressure.
My coaching complements medical treatment and does not replace medical advice or therapy.
